Turning 30

I’ve been looking forward to turning 30. Somehow i had this sense that
it’ll be really significant, like a turning point of some sort. Even
Jesus started his ministry at 30, grace reminded me.
Last week was probably the best week i had this year!
First of all, i cut my hair SHORT. I’ve been wanting to do this for a
long time. Cut, colour and treat it! Since Yen’s gives a 50% off on
your birthday month (I really recommend them!), why not!?! I’ve been
preparing myself for this and trying to convince James to let me cut my
hair!
I also signed myself up for a contemplative prayer retreat. Wanted to
just take a step back and reflect on what the Lord is doing in my
life… The Lord really met me and touched me in such a deep way. I was
so blessed coz the last day of the retreat was also my birthday. The
words that the speakers released for me also confirmed the things that
the Lord has been speaking to me about. I felt so covered, so
reassured. The Lord really made it the most wonderful birthday i’ve
ever experienced in my life! I felt so blessed. I started singing songs
like I get so thrilled with Jesus etc… and it’s been a long time
since i sang love songs like that. Simple but deep. Felt like i was
falling in love with Jesus all over again. His love for me went so
deep. I think it was also because it was a special day for me and i
felt so treasured by Him.
After that, even if everyone else forgot my birthday i would still be
floating and in love!
But i was surprised by the youth leaders! They
organised a surprised dinner for me! Oh… lovely place! SO chinese! My
fav… I was really surprised coz it was already so late and after so
many surprise parties i would have thought that we’ve all grown tired
or at least i would have guessed it but i think we’re getting very good
at this!
Thanks so much guys…
So i’m looking forward to this new season…. being in love with Jesus.
Pray that i will remain in His love.
