Pic: Went for lunch and walk @ new wing of Botanical Gardens after visit to gynae

You may notice your baby isn’t moving around as much. Don’t worry;
she’s just running out of space in your uterus. As long as you can feel
her squirming, you’ll know she’s just fine. Believe it or not, she
still has plenty of growing to do. You can expect her to gain at least
two more pounds/900 grams before delivery.

Your baby’s organs are continuing to mature and she is passing water
from her bladder: good practice for the urinating she’ll do after she’s
born. Soon you can wonder what your baby is wishing for — brain scans
have shown that fetuses have periods of dream sleep around month eight.

You’ve probably gained three to four pounds / 1.3 to 1.8 kilograms this
month. Gaining a pound/450 grams a week is quite normal during the last
trimester as your baby has a final growth spurt before birth.

We made some amazing discoveries the past two days:
1. what do babies drink in the uterus? their own urine! Yucks! But it’s true!
2. our baby has big eyes, big nose, thick lips! P Ian said – you got a
negro baby! Someone else said it’s Angelina Jolie! But it was all
really funny coz her nose is so huge. I couldn’t stop laughing and the
gynae had to stop me from laughing coz it was affecting the scan!
Anyways… baby looks more like James… that’s what the gynae said!

3. baby is definitely a girl! Sophie Grace Lim Jing she will be!
4. I’m now 49.1kg! Wow! I’m definitely gonna hit 50kg! So proud of
myself… heh… I’ve put on a total of 10.6kg since Jan. My aim is to
put on 15 kg. I still have 2 more months to go. Oh but my skinny feet
and legs are suffering…
5. I finally look big enough for a nice good looking young man to give
up his seat for me on the bus! Well done young man! A few minutes
before that i was just thinking to myself that this is gonna make such
a good entry man, lousy singaporeans who all pretend to sleep when i
get up the bus!

It’s really getting closer and closer… less than 2 mths. I’m both
scared and excited. It’s actually quite hard to balance these two
emotions at the same time. I’m scared of the pain and the possibly
suffering like no sleep, painful breastfeeding, can’t relate to baby
etc but yet i’m so excited to see Sophie, a part of both of us, to see
her smile and hear her make noises.

I guess i’ll just take a day at a time… enjoying the process as it
comes along. I also want to enjoy the pregnancy process as much as
possible. And also spend time with James alone as much as possible! It
was a luxury to go for a nice walk together after the gynae visit 
and then go out for late movie w Pris n Stephan (we watched Pirates).
Really enjoying the couple time we have now…
