Booby Traps
James calls them booby traps.
I’ve placed different types of boxes with different toys and stuff all over the house. It wasn’t intentional at first. It started with the controls box. Before Sophie came along, we had a box where we put all the tv, aircon, CD player controls etc. After Sophie came along, it has morphed into a booby trap with all sort of stuff – bottles, unused controls, hairclips, clothes peg etc… It’s placed at a hidden place where I know Sophie loves to go to. She loves digging in this box to find little treasures. It keeps her entertained for ages – even enough time for me to take a little nap on the couch!
Anyways, since then, I’ve left big and small boxes around the house for her to dig into.
Here’s a big one. It took her only 10 mins to go thru the entire box and gave James and I enough time to have our lunch. Wonderful!
