Wonderful News
Sophie doesn’t have a squint. Yay! I’m so glad… what a relief! We’ve been kinda agonising over it the past week and a half.
We went to AsiaMedic, a private health screening center to do an eye test. They have this special equipment that can pick up eye conditions like squint, lazy eyes or unusual visual problems in children. It was a pretty easy test, non-intrusive and the optometrist was very child friendly and nice. She assured us that Sophie was perfectly fine. The "squint" that we might have noticed could either be an occasional squint when her eyes are tired OR her full eye is hidden because her nose bridge is still flat so it appears like a squint. It’ll not be obvious once she grows bigger.
The doctor also advised that she shouldn’t be watching TV for more than 20 mins at a stretch and to bring her out to the open more so that she can look far. Poor baby, she’s not been watching TV much at all since we noticed the "squint" and I’ve been bringing her out more too, at least once a day.
It’s really such a relief. Really didn’t want her to have to go through any surgeries or medical procedures esp at such a young age. Thank you Lord. Thank you for all who have been agonising and praying with us.
P/s The test is apparently free for those 12 mths and below.

So glad that she is ok. I ditto the watching TV part though and yes lots of outdoors do wonders to your eyes. KC claims that running is good too cos it forces you to focus on a far away object as you run. That’s his theory.Must be working cos he has perfect eyesight!!
