Breakfast Conversations II
I remember how many of you were tickled by our breakfast conversations. Here’s another one at 1 and a half years old:
After taking her out of her cot, we sat on the sofa. Mummy still trying to catch a nap.
Sophie: Drink milk
Mummy: …. (No response)
Sophie: Hug first (Hahah I always says this to her when I want to prolong cuddling time before we have breakfast and also coz I’m still trying to wake up!)
Mummy: … (still no response, hugs and smiles… no energy to talk yet lah)
Sophie: Drink milk
Mummy: Drink milk?
Sophie: Drink milk
Mummy: (Finally gets up and carries her to kitchen) Do you want to stand while I make your milk?
Sophie: No no
Mummy: Sit inside your cane chair?
Sophie: Ok/Nods
Mummy put her in the chair and makes milk
Mummy: Let’s go outside (to the high chair)
Sophie: Ok
Sophie makes funny sounds with her lips. We spent a moment mimicking and laughing at each other.
Mummy: Sit down k?
Sophie: Ok
Sophie drinks her milk while i bring out her raisin bread
Mummy: Raisin bread
Sophie: Bread, … raisins (she says asins)!
Finishes her bread, actually her raisins on the bread
Sophie: Keep
Mummy didn’t understand at first. Oooo I got it, she meant she didn’t want the rest of the bread and told me to keep them coz normally i tell her not to throw her food off the hair chair or put it on the table if she doesn’t want, she must put them back on the plate and keep.
Mummy: Brush teeth?
Sophie: Brush teeth.
I take her out of her high chair, she whines a bit coz I took too long. That was the end of our breakfast conversation. Till next time!
