Travel Tips
Now for a breather. I’m getting a bit tired of writing about the trip.
On the other hand, I’ve been thinking of starting a blog to write about travelling round the world with our little one. Like where to go, what to see, how to do it etc. I thought I’ll write as we go along. We’ve already covered Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at 3 months, Brisbane, Australia at 7 months, Batam, Indonesia at 13 months, Shanghai, China at 14 months, Hong Kong, China at 19 months and 21 months. In all, Sophie has been to 4 countries and 5 cities.
And then, I came across The Little Travelers randomly. SO COOL! A single mum brings her girls to different countries for immersion programmes and creates home DVDs about each trip. I’m really tempted to buy and watch the DVDs. But first, something to share from their travel tips which I find rings in my heart of hearts. Do click thru the link and have a read. I’ve already been actively cutting down Sophie’s electronic toys and buying her wooden or more creative toys instead. Reading this just helps reminds me of what I want to do. She writes: "Children, today more than ever crave connection." I totally agree. Sometimes all Sophie needs from me to calm her down is to talk to her or sing.
