One Tile Each
Our place is sooooooooo small but we managed to squeeze the cluster in last Sunday.
Told them they can only sit on one tile each. haha. About 20-30 of them i
think, at diff points. Some were in the kitchen, some at the dining
area and some in the baby’s room.
We had good old egg mayo (thanks to eve) and spag (the only thing i
know how to make quickly), lotsa chips and sweets. Played taboo for a
really long time… so fun. Took pics with them. It was great to just
hang out with them and catch up with some whom i haven’t caught up with
for a while.
I’m gonna miss these times. James seriously thinks i’ll have HeartBeat withdrawal symptoms.
Interchange 06

Me kicking angie… heh… they asked for funny pose.
Anyways… we had great fun at Interchange, our annual HeartBeat
Leaders Retreat. Er but we missed it last year. As annual as can be.
Heh…
I had a really good time.. prob my last with HeartBeat for a while…
it was great to see the newer interns and leaders attend as well.
Babies are back!

Pic on left: Baby 1 Yvonne and Baby 2 Wan Lin
Pic on right: Zong Guo Team, happy as usual! Love this pic!
Talking about babies, all our precious babies are back… last few
coming back tomorrow. We sent them all out 2 weeks ago in to the
different countries to tell Daddy’s stories and they’ve all returned
with amazing stories to tell. They have been telling me stories of how
Daddy promised them about certain things and He kept his promise, as
always! Really quite excited to hear from all of them…. some are
already talking about next year and wanting to go back! Woo hoo!
To all the 5 teams, we’re all glad you’re back safe and sound and very
happy to see all of you in church today… hugs to all… and thank you
to all those who have bore gifts for James n i from far away… thank
you Shao Wei for coffee, thank you Carole for the love thingy, thank
you China Team (i’m still waiting, can’t wait!)
Daddy is good.
Praying for the world

Last nite was the Global Day of Prayer! Those of us who came early chup
seats the singaporean way… think there were about 40-50 of us from
the heartbeat and 7 buses load of SJSMers! Meet our chuppers!
24000 Singaporeans at the soon to be torn down National Stadium praying
for revival! I was so excited when all the people holding flags came
running out and we started to sing Great Awakening. YES LORD! MORE!
Can’t imagine what’s gonna happen as we as a nation begins to pray like
that… i wonder what the Lord is gonna do… I’m looking forward to
GoFest this week!
Missions Boot Camp

We just finished the Missions Boot Camp last Sat!
It was really fun and lotsa breakthru but very tiring… almost
couldn’t stand properly at the global day of prayer last nite… muscle
ache!
But it was great to see all the teams starting to gel together… on
the left is the korat team and right is the zong guo team doing their
intro (erm donno what vic is doing but seems a bit different from the
rest… HEH HEH)
I’m so glad to see the breakthru on the second nite when David Pierce (Lead Singer of No Longer Music, Founder of Steiger International, part of YWAM)
came and challenged us to THROW THE PIGS OVER! I think a lot of us
experienced breakthru… i was so encouraged by all his sharing. It’s
not very often that we get to hear from one who has really pushed the
boundaries in exercising faith and yet so humble and so in love with
the Lord. Strangely, so emotional too. It’s encouraging because God
uses each one of us just the way we are. No standard pattern. Just the
way He made us. If only we’ll stand at that place rather than try to be
someone else.
I’m glad for the camp. Thank God for everything that has happened. Tired but satisfied.
We three Lims… r back!
We’re back!
The past week has been awesome! God is really doing amazing things
amongst us…. he’s really preparing us and raising a new level of
faith!!!!! Woow!
This will be a short update…
The Anglican Youth Leaders Network Retreat… so many words… was
good. God reaffirmed my call and my heart for young people. As Pastor
Seow How shared, i could feel my heart crying out and tears rolling
down. I know God has given me the same passion to see young people
respected and loved the way God respects and loves them. I get his
heart. Not everything he said made sense or was right but i get his
heart.
The Intercession Retreat after was even better! Learning to move in the
power of the Spirit……. i’ve been trapped in fear for so long that
WOOW out came the outpour of the Spirit. The faith and power to move in
signs and miracles! Felt so engulfed by His love and His call upon my
life.
God’s really been answering prayers, prayers that have been cried out
in faith. I’m so excited to see the youth leaders praying like never
before! It’s so exciting that it’ll be so sad to miss out on the prayer
meeting at 8am! HAHAH…. it’s so amazing… we actually attracted one
of the sec ones to stand by to watch us with interest as we prayed. She
was a bit shy to join us tho. Hmmm…. passionate prayer invites
interest.
Passionate people of God attracts people!
As we lift Jesus high, He is going to draw all men unto himself!!!!!!!!
and………… everything we left behind in faith has been accomplished!!!
- The painting is almost done, one more butterfly for james to paint n touch up.
- Missions planning and rallying almost there…
- And pracs for prayer revival meetings went really well…
It’s really God. Amazing stuff. I am amazed. Thank you God!!
Now for Sabbath….
Gen 1 & 2
“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good… By the seventh
day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day
he rested from all his work. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.”
Joy of the Lord
I had a really great day today… wow it started off w pre-service
prayer, really praying that God will break fear amongst us and bring us
to a new level of faith.
During worship, Johnson really led us well and had a sense that we find
new faith and power in the cross, hidden by the cross. That every sin,
weakness, struggle is covered by the blood of the Lamb. Just sensed
that we had to press in and pray for each other for new faith for the
impossible in every situation that we’re in. It was great to see more
of the youths really pressing in to pray and people getting touched as
they prayed for each other. Believe that was a build up to what started
last week.
And really the best time was the altar call when P ian called for those
who wanted to step out of fear. I believe there were a number of
breakthrus that happened this morning. Really praise God for that. I
believe those who came up really needed that touch and breakthru.
God is really moving amongst us.
Also during the cell transition for Pris/Kai’s cell, that was amazing
too coz it went so smoothly. The cell has been great and believe God’s
been preparing them. We’ve been praying so hard… just felt like such
a release and assurance from God that we’re heading in the right
direction. God really heard our every cry.
Really the joy of the Lord comes as we put our faith in Him. He is really the God of the IMPOSSIBLE.
More Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alpha Amateurs
Last nite we were at auntie ruby’s house.
We’re
planning to help out at an Alpha run at her place. This is something
quite new for us. We’ve attended Alpha, brought friends to Alpha but
never really helped out with Alpha.
So James is going to be helping out
in leading and i’m gonna be part of the prayer team.
After hanging out
with youths so much, it was quite strange to hang out with so many
adults, fellowshipping over real dinner (mind you it was full course
dinner over the dinner table with real cutlery & dinner plans &
dessert n all ala Martha Steward Peranakan style – something both James
& i are not very used to, we’re more used to help yourself, paper
plates n plastic cups), planning and praying with them. It got quite
funny towards the end when everyone started to losen up when we played
a inpromtu game to practise for Alpha ice-breaker. uncle harold was
hilarous harold. He’s a funny old man that’s so full of life. Suddenly
everyone became like family. We ended with singing round the keyboard
as he played.
We’re both quite excited to be involved as a couple… God’s been
putting in us a specific burden to reach the lost in our generation -
post-modern urban youth. Alpha is a start for us, learning from the “pros”. As we pray, God’s been sending people our way
to pray for and to minister to. He’s also been sending people to
inspire us, people that have gone before us to partner n encourage us.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own
understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your
paths straight.” Prov 3:5-6
Exciting.
