Raising youths

I lead a group of mostly 13-17s.
Sometimes it’s totally frustrating but MOST TIMES they are
really fun to be with. I really enjoyed the time bringing them to
Sentosa last Sun. It was quite a random thing, not much planning went
into it. It was a “wanna go?” and “ok let’s go”.
i love watching them let loose and enjoy themselves. Even if it seems
like they are strangling each other. It’s not what it seems…. haha.
Yeah! Week 12!
From BabyCenter:
Your fetus now looks like a baby, with tiny but fully formed fingers
and toes. As his body grows and becomes more developed and functional,
he’ll start twisting and turning like an acrobat, cushioned and
protected by your amniotic fluid. You, on the other hand, are probably
feeling less like a gymnast every day. Leg cramps, which can sometimes
be a sign of calcium deficiency, and heartburn (caused by pregnancy
hormones that relax the valve which separates the oesophagus from the
stomach) may be annoying you during the day and keeping you up at
night. Just remember, all this suffering is temporary — and it’s all
in a good cause — you’re having a baby!
and we got some pictures of the scan to show you!!! Baby is now 12
weeks old and i’m almost done with the 1st trimester! Praise the Lord!
The statistics show the once we’re past the 1st trimester, the danger
of losing the baby decreases lots. So we’re really happy and have been
looking forward to this. My tummy is slightly showing and we just
wanted to document it as it grows bigger. Managed to go shopping to get
a few new looser clothing.
Ps to educate those who don’t know how to read the scan. The baby’s head is on the right. The rest you figure. heh.
Dinner @ restaurant ember

Sarah, Michelle & Josh, James & I.

Sarah + Michelle n Josh
We had a couples dinner last nite @ restaurant ember at Hotel 1929
w the rest of the tues grp couples. We went to New Majestic to check
out the latest rooms prior. Both are owned by Hwa’s bro, Peng.
Other than us, Michelle n Josh are married, the rest are planning. It
was really fun just catching up, throwing crazy business ideas. There’s
gonna be so much coming out of this group in the next few months! Mark
n Hwa just left their comfy high flying DP Architects jobs to start up
their own thing and they’ve been doing funky design jobs for hotels,
restaurants n pubs, James too, George has already been on his own for a while. Ronald n Yuki who were not there, they too are starting their own stuff! Whoa!
it’s great to be back
All in all, it’s great to be back.
I actually missed home quite a bit while i was in aus. It’s strange coz
i travel so much and i love travelling. I don’t usually miss home. In
fact when i was in Europe backpacking, i didn’t call home till 3 weeks
later into the trip when everyone else was calling home. In those days
i didn’t have a handphone to sms.
Maybe it’s coz i’m getting older and i actually like Singapore. I find
that in these recent years, places like aus have not much appeal for me
coz somehow Singapore is catching up and everything that you find
there, you already find it here. Even the friendliness of australia is
not quite there anymore. People have gotten more impatient and nastier.
I miss friendly people. (ps SIA service is getting really bad. almost tempted to write in to complain.)
So i was REALLY happy to come home and go for cluster
christmas party even tho i was unwell. Coz i missed the youths. To hug them and catch up with
them. Listen to all their latest gossips. To see lydia, yvonne, jen,
talk to pris, go shopping with wanlin.
yep. i miss home. and it’s great to be back!
movie world
kel, rach, james n i were all so excited to go to movie world. we
almost didn’t coz it was so ex! $60 bucks per person! But i was so glad
we went! We had so much fun goin from ride to ride. We were like running coz we only had 5 hrs to do everything. So crazy man.
I think we went on the road runner roller coaster like 3 times!
See the
superman ride behind us? heh it’s not ready yet so we
didn’t get to ride it. oh wells, next time!
And guess what! It started to rain in the last 15 mins and we had to
run out of the place to the car. We were all soaked, totally soaked. I
think the last time i was so soaked in the rain was in india on mission
trip. So funny!
road trip
we’re back!
Here are some of our fav photos of what we did in sydney n brisbane…

over at coffs harbour. i was so glad when we finally arrived. there’s
only that much we can do in the car.
stop to eat pies, sleep, stop to eat oysters, sleep, wake up go toilet, sleep…
